On the 1st July 2007 England joined Scotland and Wales in in troducing a smoking ban which essentially prohibits smoking in public places and workplaces in the UK. As a minimum requirement No Smoking signs should be displayed in a prominent position at each public entrance to smoke free premises including company vehicles used by more than one person.
