Software developments enable PC connection for archiving ECG records for paperless data management. seca Passport (Open) software will take the ECG and attach it within the individual patient's record enabling not just an on-screen image to be captured and viewed but also a choice of formats and measurements, etc. The file can be sent by email as an image or sent as a file which requires an ECG viewer, ensuring confidentiality. With increased connectivity comes user choice; as an example printers can be used to provide inexpensive formats where preferred.
