First Aid Warehouse has consulted with a working party of 12 Independent School Nurses over the past 6 months to fully understand the requirements of today’s school nurse. To that extent we have developed a range of first aid products and kits that put quite simply…is designed by school nurses for school nurses.
We want to understand the actually requirements that school nurses require, and not just what we think and so we have carried outin depth reserach to bring you the initial schools offering. Not that we are content we the range developed so far, we continually meet with our working party of school nurses each month to discuss the latest offers, kits and sundry items that are all aimed at offering the school nurse the complete one stop shop.
The range so far includes:
The classroom first aid kit contains the basic first aid products as recommended by the HSE and DFEE, which allow the basic treatment of minor first aid injuries. In addition our classroom kits also contain a number of extra products which include 5 x 20ml eye pods, 2 x additional triangular bandages, 6 x cleansing wipes and a wall bracket to safely secure to the wall if required.
Standard Laboratory/Workshop Kit
The standard laboratory/workshop kit includes a number of additional items that are designed to cater for the potentially increased risk that may be present within a school laboratory or workshop. In addition to incorporating the HSE and DFEE recommended contents for a classroom this kit also includes an additional 100 assorted plasters and a 500ml eyewash bottle with inbuilt eye cap.
Premium Laboratory/Workshop Kit
The premium laboratory/workshop kit provides a comprehensive variety of eye products in addition to the HSE and DFEE recommended products for a classroom. The premium laboratory/workshop kit includes a separate eyewash kits which compromises of 2 x500ml eyewash solution, 10x 10ml eyewash pods, 2 x 20ml eyewash pods, 2 x eye pad dressings and a packet of tissues and additional wall bracket.
This is a comprehensive catering kit which ensures that all kitchen staff can adhere to the Food & Hygiene Act of 1990. The contents include blue detectable plasters which can be traced and detected, as well as a variety of Burnshield dressings which can be used for treating any degree of burn and will ensure that your kitchen and canteen staff are adequately catered for.
It is required by law under the Road Traffic Act 1986 that all minibuses and coaches should carry a first aid kit. This first aid kit provides a comprehensive variety of dressings, bandages and other first aid products suitable for treating minor first aid injuries.
The contents of this school day trip kit have again been designed by our working party of school nurses and the products are designed to cover the basic ailments that may occur whilst out on a school day trip.
The overnight school kit provides a more comprehensive range of first aid products than its day trip counter part and this includes a full biohazard spills kit which allows the safe disposal of any liquid spills including vomit, blood etc.
Our premium sports kit contains an extensive range of first aid dressings, bandages and tapes that will allow the treatment of common injuries associated with school sports. The contents are designed to be suitable for all school sports whether these be in the spring, summer, autumn or winter term.
